Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Apple Vision OCR) from a scan of a newspaper page, and the page was cut into articles by machine, at the headlines found by their type size. Nothing has been corrected: expect misread words, text from a neighbouring article, and titles that are the machine reading of the headline, some of them only fragments. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: headline found by type size in the OCR geometry (split_tabloid.py); 3-5 of 6; machine-segmented newspaper page; uncorrected Vision OCR.

Now we need help from you to reach our £500 January target. The fiasco at Chrysler has demonstrated more clearly than ever the price the working class will pay unisss a credible alternative leadership is built in the workers' movement which Red Weekly is the only paper on the left which fights for the policies of workers' can be created. Every penny towards our Fighting Fund is a penny towards fulfilling this task. So rush a donation to us at 182 Pentonville Road, London N.1. servicemen training here must be expelled. All trade and aid must be stopped. The withdrawal of the British Ambassador must be made permanent, and Pinochet's stooge in London thrown out.

If the Government refuses to act on these demands, then the labour movement must take its own action to enforce them. That is the least that can be expected after all the brave words from trade union lead ers at the Chile Solidarity Campaign conference only three months ago.
